The tune-up included with Grunt Guard is a full system service, not a quick look and a squirt of lubricant. A technician works through the door, the hardware and the opener as one system, because a problem in any of the three shows up as wear in the other two.
The door and the balance. We disconnect the opener and lift the door by hand to test balance. A correctly balanced door stays put wherever you stop it. If it drops or climbs, the spring tension is off, and every other component is absorbing that error.
Springs, cables and drums. We check springs for gaps, rust and fatigue, inspect cables for fraying at the drum and the bottom bracket, and confirm the drums are seated and wound evenly on both sides.
Rollers, hinges and track. We look at roller stems and bearings, tighten hinges, and check the track for alignment, spread and dents that will chew up rollers.
The opener. We test force and travel limits, run the safety reverse test, align the photo eyes, check the chain or belt tension, and inspect the rail and trolley. If the opener has been fighting an unbalanced door, this is where it shows.
Hardware and lubrication. Every fastener that vibrates loose over a year gets torqued back down, and the moving parts get lubricated with a product that survives a Phoenix summer instead of running off it.
You get told what we found in plain language, including the things that are fine. If something needs attention, you hear what it is, how urgent it actually is, and what it costs before anyone touches it.
